MEET THE ELEVATED TEAM
Local craftsmanship. Family values. Exteriors built to last.WHO WE ARE
DERRICK
OWNER
Derrick’s path into construction started early, building furniture and working on log homes in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He later spent nearly a decade in engineering, where he developed a strong foundation in planning, problem-solving, and attention to detail before returning to the construction world as a roofing project manager.
As the owner of Elevated Home Exteriors, Derrick enjoys working closely with homeowners to improve and protect their homes while building honest, lasting relationships along the way. He takes pride in creating a company that values quality work, clear communication, and people first — both customers and team members.
Outside of work, Derrick enjoys life with his wife, Karissa, and their five children. Their family spends much of their time outdoors, homeschooling, staying active in their faith, and caring for their chickens.
Keith VanderWeide
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Keith brings over 25 years of experience in roofing and building products to the Elevated team. He started his career in building materials distribution and worked his way through roles in the warehouse, sales, and operations before transitioning into the residential side of the industry. That background gives him a deep understanding of both the products we use and the real-world needs of homeowners.
At Elevated, Keith helps oversee daily operations and works closely with the team to ensure projects are planned well, executed properly, and delivered with care. He’s known for his steady leadership, industry knowledge, and commitment to doing things the right way.
Outside of work, Keith enjoys life with his wife and their three daughters. As a homeschooling family, they spend a lot of time together, stay active in their church, and often tackle home renovation projects as a family.
TARA
OFFICE MANAGER
Tara is often the first friendly voice people hear when they call our office. She makes sure every customer feels taken care of and helps keep projects moving by coordinating communication, tracking deliveries, and supporting both our field and office teams. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and genuine care for people make her an important part of creating a smooth experience for everyone we serve.
Before joining Elevated and Wintek, Tara worked in real estate and property management, where she gained a strong understanding of homes, paperwork, and the coordination it takes to keep things running well. She loves learning, improving systems, and finding ways to make life easier for the team.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys volunteering on the worship team at her church, giving voice lessons, gardening, and sharing baked goods with the office.
TONY
WAREHOUSE MANAGER & FIELD SUPERVISOR
Tony keeps our warehouse and job sites running smoothly each day. He organizes materials, unloads deliveries, loads trucks for upcoming jobs, and helps on site whenever extra hands are needed. Known for his reliability, positive attitude, and teamwork, Tony plays a key role in keeping projects moving.
Before joining Elevated and Wintek, Tony worked in insurance, helping customers understand their policies and make changes to meet their needs. What drew him here was the people — and he quickly became an important part of the team.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys life with his wife, Katie, and their three kids. They spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it’s yard games in the summer or sledding and building snow forts in the winter. His family also serves in the nursery at their church, and Tony is a big sports fan who loves playing or watching whenever he can.
